Angur Toor Dal

We are located in Vasad Village, specifically near the Vasad Post Office. Our place is on the approach road, right near where the Payal Cinema used to be. Angur Toor Dal has been a part of this community for a very long time. We process toor dal, which is what this whole area is known for. The work is mostly handled in our large processing area, where the machines run for most of the day. It’s a loud, hot, and dusty environment, but we’ve all grown used to it over the years. We don't have an office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace. We spend our time checking the dal for quality and making sure the machines are set right. Sometimes the weather in Anand District gets really humid, and we have to be extra careful with how we store the pulses. We don't have a marketing team. Most people know our name because we’ve been here so long. We see a lot of trucks coming and going from our gate at P.O. Box No. 19. It’s a simple operation, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just focus on getting the dal ready for the market. It’s hard work, and we’re usually pretty tired by the time we close up. But we’ve been doing this for generations, and it’s just what we know and how we spend our lives.
