Victor High School

Victor High School sits right on Plot No.131 off the GT Road in New Partap Nagar. It’s a very busy spot in Amritsar, especially with all the trucks and cars zooming by on the main road. You can always hear the traffic from the front gate, but the classrooms in the back are a bit more peaceful. We’ve been operating in Pratapnagar for quite some time now. The building is tucked into a bit of a tight spot, but we make the most of the space we have. Every morning is a bit of a scramble to get the kids inside safely because the GT Road is so hectic. Once the first period starts, things settle down into a rhythm. We aren't a huge school, but we have enough rooms for everyone. The walls have been painted a few times over the years, and there are always posters made by students hanging up somewhere. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; there is always a floor to be swept or a schedule to be fixed. Our teachers are local people who understand the neighborhood. It’s a basic setup that works for the families living around New Partap Nagar. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids stay on track with their studies until it's time to go home. It's a simple life for us here, just teaching and keeping things in order.
