St Georgies School

We are located over in Qadian, specifically in the Civil Line area at a place called Shisha Wali Kothi. It is a well-known spot here in Gurdaspur. Our school isn't some big, fancy corporate chain that you see in the bigger cities. It is just us here in the 143516 zip code doing our thing. The building itself has a bit of character because of the name, Shisha Wali Kothi, which people always ask about. We have kids coming in from all parts of the town and even some from the farms further out. Our days are pretty standard and predictable. We start with a morning assembly out in the yard and then everyone moves into the classrooms for the rest of the day. The teachers here are all local folks who understand the way things work in this part of Punjab. We have some large trees around the grounds which provide some much-needed shade during those really hot summer months. It is a very simple setup we have here. We have got old blackboards, plenty of chalk, and students with their notebooks. We aren't trying to be the most modern or high-tech school in the country. We just want to provide a decent place where kids can come and learn what they need to know. People know us by our name and where we sit on the map. We don't need much more than that. It’s a steady job for us.
