Sartaj Engineering Works

We’ve been here at Guru Arjun Denagar for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot right off Tarn Taran Road and you can usually hear the machines running from the street. My father started things out small, and we just kept at it, mostly because there’s always someone needing a part fixed or something welded. The shop isn't fancy at all. There’s grease on the floors and metal scraps in the corners, but that is just how a real engineering workshop looks when work is actually getting done. People stop by all the time, sometimes just to ask for directions since we are near Po Kot Mit Singh, but usually, it's for the metalwork. We spend most of our days dealing with lathes and welding sets. It gets hot in the summer, especially with the shutters down halfway to keep the dust out. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a break, but mostly it's just continuous work from morning until the sun goes down. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk with too many papers and the smell of burnt oil. It's a simple life here at Sartaj Engineering Works. We don't do much advertising because everyone around here already knows where we are. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the pieces to fit right. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
