Working near the Radisson Blue Hotel on Ajnala Road is interesting because you see all sorts of people passing by, but we are mostly focused on what’s happening right here at the shop. Gurunam Das Fabricators & Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is situated right opposite the Govt. Sugar Mill, so depending on the day, you can really smell the processing going on over there. Our place is full of welding machines and heavy tools. It’s a lot of engineering work, though it’s more about the grit and the sweat than anything you’d see in a textbook. We have been in this spot for a while, and the location near the hotel makes it easy to give people directions. We handle a lot of fabrication jobs, which means there is almost always the sound of grinding or sparks flying somewhere in the building. It’s not a quiet environment by any means. The staff here has been around for a long time, and we all just kind of know the routine without having to talk about it too much. We aren't looking to be the biggest outfit in town, just the one that gets the job done right. Sometimes the Ajnala Road traffic is a nightmare, especially when the sugar mill is busy, but we just stay inside and keep working on the current project until it’s finished.
