Swaran Engineering Works

Kot Mit Singh is where you’ll find us, right on the Tarn Taran Road. The main thing you notice here is the railway crossing. You hear the trains going by all the time, and when the gates close, the traffic just piles up for a long way. Swaran Engineering Works is right in the middle of that hustle. We do a lot of mechanical stuff, mostly repairs and making small parts for machines. The workshop is full of iron scraps and the smell of welding smoke. It’s a bit cramped sometimes with all the stuff we have lying around, but we know where everything is kept. The Tarn Taran Road is always busy, so there’s never a quiet moment. We started this place because we knew the trade, and it’s just stayed that way for years. We don't have a fancy reception or any air conditioning. You just walk in and you'll find us working on some lathe or welding a frame. The floor is stained with oil and the walls are a bit dark. It's a real workshop where people work hard. We get a lot of locals stopping by because they know we're right by the crossing. Some days the heat is tough, especially with the torches going, but you get used to it. We just try to get the work done so people can get back to their business. It’s a simple life of tools and metal and trains passing by.
