Rajindra Engineering Works

We are over here at Plot No-L-1/284 in New Kapoor Nagar. If you know the area, it is right by the old ice factory on Sultanwind Road. My father started this place, and I have been coming here since I was a kid. It is a bit dusty most days because of the work we do at Rajindra Engineering Works, but we keep the machines running. The morning starts with tea from the stall around the corner. Then the noise begins. It is loud, and the floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We don't have a fancy office or air conditioning that works well, but we have the tools we need. Most of our neighbors are also doing similar work, so there is always the sound of hammers or lathes in the background. Sultanwind Road gets very busy in the afternoons with all the trucks and rickshaws trying to get past the factory. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is not a glamorous life, but it is what we know. We handle the metal, fix the parts that people bring in, and try to get things done before the sun goes down. The building itself has seen better days, the paint is peeling a bit, but inside, the work is solid. We just keep our heads down and get on with it, day after day, making sure the job is finished before we lock up the gate for the night.
