Ravindra Electric Company

Ravindra Electric Company is over at number 16 on Bvk Iyengar Road. We occupy a space on the first floor of the D Rangaiah Complex. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how tight the streets are. It’s a constant struggle with the crowds and the vehicles parked everywhere. Our shop is reached by a narrow staircase that’s a bit steep. Once you get inside, it’s a bit like a warehouse. We have shelves packed with all kinds of electrical items, and sometimes boxes are stacked in the walkways. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we manage to find what we need eventually. The D Rangaiah Complex is an old building, and it shows its age, but it’s sturdy. We open the shutters early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. There’s no big display window or marketing signs. We just have a small board with the name Ravindra Electric Company. Most of our day is spent dealing with walk-in customers or checking through old ledgers. We don't use much in the way of computers, preferring to write things down in our books. It’s a very hands-on way of doing business. The noise from Bvk Iyengar Road never really goes away, but you stop noticing it after a while. We are just a local business trying to get through the daily list of chores.
