Hi, I'm Amandeep Kaur and I've been doing architecture stuff at B-564 on Ranjit Avenue for a while now. Most days I am just here at my desk looking over blueprints or talking to folks about how they want their house to look. It is a quiet spot in the neighborhood and people often stop by to chat about building things or fixing up old rooms. I don't really do big flashy speeches about design or style. Mostly, I just draw up the plans and make sure everything fits where it is supposed to. Some people find the whole building process really stressful, so I try to keep it simple. Ranjit Avenue is a nice place to work from and I see the same faces walking by most mornings. If you are looking for someone to help figure out a layout or get some drawings done, that is what I do. It is not just about the big structures but also the small details that make a room feel okay. I have worked on different types of projects around here. Sometimes it is a renovation, other times it is starting from scratch. I just focus on the task at hand. There isn't a huge team here, it is mostly just me getting things done. I like the practical side of architecture more than the theory stuff. Just making sure the walls are in the right place and the roof stays up. That is pretty much it.
