Chhegaon Krish-E Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are just a bunch of people from Village Chhaigaon Devi who decided to work together. Chhegaon Krish-E Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited is the official name we use for the paperwork. Vasudev Rajaram is where we get our mail and hold our meetings. Most of us have been farming this land for our whole lives. We started this group because the market was getting tough for a single person to handle. We don't have a big fancy office with chairs and desks. Usually, we just sit together and talk about the cost of seeds or the rain. It’s hard work and the days are long. Sometimes the crops don't do what they are supposed to, and we just have to figure it out. We didn't want to keep selling to middle men who take all the money. Now we try to sell things ourselves. My cousin helps with the ledger because he went to school in the city for a bit. We don't have any big speeches to give. We just want to make enough to keep our families fed and the tractors running. It's dusty out here and the sun is hot, but it's what we know. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We are just farmers who realized that being together is better than being alone. If you come by, you'll see us in the fields most of the day. We are just doing our best.
