Demuria Sabuj Mitro Framers Producercompany Limited is right in the heart of Demuria village. We are located at Jl No- 142, Kh No-493, in the Mouza- Demuria area. If you look for us, we are near the Battala post office and the Ramnagar police station isn't too far off either. This is a rural place, so our work follows the sun and the rain. We are a group of farmers who decided to work together. Our office is just a simple building where we keep our records and meet to discuss the harvest. There’s always a bit of mud on the floor because someone just came in from the fields. We don't have air conditioning or fancy computers, just a couple of fans and some old ledgers that we fill out by hand mostly. In Demuria, everyone knows everyone, so there’s no point in acting like we are some big corporate entity. We talk about the price of paddy, the cost of fertilizer, and how the last storm affected the crops. It’s a place where we share tools and ideas. Sometimes we sit outside under the shade when it’s too hot in the office. We are just trying to get a fair price for what we grow and make sure our families are taken care of. It’s a quiet life in the village, but the work is heavy and constant. We wouldn't have it any other way for our small group here.
