Ramnagar Krishak Vikas Producer Company Limited is located at Jay Praksh Mishra’s place in Village Chandokha, Shankarpur. This isn't a high-tech office building. It’s just a regular house in the village where we keep our papers and meet. We call it a producer company, but really it’s just a bunch of us from Chandokha and Shankarpur trying to help each other out. Development around here happens slowly. We focus on getting better tools or seeds for the group so we can all benefit. It’s hard work because the land here can be tough and the water is sometimes scarce. We don't have any polished speeches or mission statements posted on the walls. We usually just talk about whose tractor is working or when the local market day is. Sometimes we disagree on what to do next, but that’s just how it is with local business. We keep our expenses low so we don't have to charge the members too much. Every day there is a new problem to solve, whether it’s a pest problem or a transport issue. We are just part of the community here. Most people know Jay Praksh and know where to find us if they have an issue with their crops. We don't try to sound like a big city company because we aren't one. We are just farmers working together.
