Working here at Scorpian Diamond Tools on the Jaipur Road means you see a lot of traffic every single hour. Kishangarh is always busy with the stone trade, so we spend our days around tools and cutting equipment. It’s pretty loud. You get used to the constant sound of metal hitting metal after a while. The shop is in Madanganj. It’s a good spot because everyone passes by here on their way through town. We have all kinds of diamond tools sitting on the counters and tucked into the drawers. It gets really hot in the afternoons during the summer months. We have a small cooler, but it mostly just blows warm air around the room. The floor is always covered in a bit of grit from the tools we handle. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just some old desks and chairs where we sit with customers to talk. Sometimes they want something very specific for their stone machines. We have to go look through the back room for a long time to find it. It takes time. My hands are usually a bit dirty from checking the stock in the crates. We eat our lunch together in the back area. Usually, someone brings parathas from home. We talk about the weather or how the road construction is going. It's been like this for quite some time now. No one wears a suit here.
