Kohinoor Diamond Tools

The RIICO industrial area in Kishangarh is full of places like Kohinoor Diamond Tools. We are located at plot F/77. It’s a solid building with a lot of heavy stuff sitting on the floor. We make and sell diamond tools used for cutting the big marble blocks you see on the trucks. It’s a gritty job to be honest. There is always water and stone dust around the work area. The machines we use are quite big and make a lot of vibration. We spend our time checking the diamond segments and making sure everything is tight and secure. It’s important work because if a tool fails during cutting, it can be quite dangerous for the operator. We wear heavy boots and old shirts that we don't mind getting ruined. The sun hits the front of the shop in the morning, making it very bright inside. We usually keep the big metal shutters half-down to keep the heat out during the summer. We don't have a receptionist or a front desk. If someone walks in, one of us just wipes our hands on a dirty rag and goes to talk to them. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. We know the guards at the gate and the other factory owners nearby. It’s a small community in a way, even though it’s all industrial. We keep the kettle going for most of the day.
