S R S Engineering Works is tucked away in Gandhi Nagar, Madanganj. If you’re looking for us, we are in that busy stretch of Ajmer district where all the workshops are. Our floor is always stained with oil and there’s usually a pile of iron rods or machine parts sitting in the corner. We do a lot of welding and fabrication work. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we know. My hands are usually black with grease by lunchtime. We take on all sorts of repairs for local factories and some smaller stuff for people who just live nearby. Some days we are working on a big gate and other days it’s just fixing a broken tractor part. The machines we use are old but they are sturdy and they haven’t let us down yet. It gets incredibly hot in the shed during the summer months, so we keep a big water cooler running all day. We don't have a secretary or anyone to answer phones, so if you call, you’ll probably hear the grinders in the background. We just want to do a solid job so the customer doesn't have to come back twice for the same problem. It’s a simple life of measuring, cutting, and joining metal. We’ve been at this spot for years and the locals know our work is decent. We aren't fancy, just hardworking.
