Engineer

My name is Deepak Kumar Panwar, and I’m the son of Ghanshyam Panwar. You can find my workplace in Indira Nagar, right near the railway bypass line in Ajmer. Being so close to the tracks means you hear the trains going by all the time, which I’ve actually grown to like. It’s a steady sound that keeps me company while I work on my engineering projects. The post office is in Madar, and we are right here in Rajasthan, which gets incredibly hot during the summer months. I usually try to get most of the heavy work done in the early morning before the sun really starts beating down on the roof. The office isn’t anything special. It’s just a part of the house we fixed up so I could have a place to keep my tools and my drawings. I’ve lived in Ajmer most of my life, so I know the area well. People around here just call me when they need something technical done. There’s no big corporate structure here, just me and occasionally some help from the family with the smaller things. I don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. I’d rather spend that time making sure the drawings are right and the math adds up. It’s a simple way of living and working, right here by the bypass line. It might be a bit dusty sometimes, but it’s home and it’s where I get things done.
