Sodhi Engg. Industries

Our place, Sodhi Engg. Industries, is over in the Makhupura-Parbatpura Extn. We are at unit E-6A in the industrial area. It’s a large zone with a lot of other workshops around us. We’ve been here for a long time, doing engineering work. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean. There is always metal being cut or welded somewhere in the shop. We started out small and just stayed at this location as the years went by. The roads around here can be a bit rough, but we are used to it. We mostly deal with local clients who know our face. We don't have a website that we update or anything. If someone needs engineering help, they usually just drive down to the industrial area and find us at the gate. The shop is filled with various machines and scrap pieces from old projects. We work hard during the day and head home when the sun goes down. It's a simple routine. We have a few guys who have been working the lathes for years and know exactly what they are doing. We talk about the work while we do it. There’s no corporate talk here. We just call things as they are. If a part is broken, we fix it or make a new one from scratch. That’s what we do at E-6A. It’s a good living for us.
