Aapli Mati Shetkari Producer Company Limited is based in Mayegaon Devi, which is in the Kopargaon taluka. Our main office is at Sudam Narahari Thorat’s place. The name "Aapli Mati" means our soil, and that’s what we care about most. We are just a group of local farmers who wanted to do something together. We don't have a big budget or a fancy building. The office is a simple room in the village where the air usually smells like the fields outside. We don't use any complicated business jargon or have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure that the people in Mayegaon Devi get a fair price for their crops. Most of our day is spent talking to neighbors and checking on the harvest progress. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, which we don't always enjoy, but it’s necessary to keep things legal. The roads around here can be quite dusty, and we don't have any fancy cars to get around. We just use our tractors or motorbikes. It’s a very grounded way of living and working. We’ve had some tough times with the water supply in Kopargaon, but we stick together.
