Vikas Machine Industries

Our workshop is located at Plot No. 2011 in Phase-III of the G.I.D.C. in Vatva. It’s a large industrial area, so there are factories all around us. We’ve been working out of this plot for quite a while, focusing on building and maintaining machines. The building is a simple concrete structure with a high roof to keep things a bit cooler, though it still gets very hot in the afternoons. We have a few heavy-duty machines ourselves that we use to fabricate parts. It’s a noisy place with the constant hum of motors and the clanking of metal. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see our work, you just come onto the shop floor and see what we are currently building. Most of our workers have been with us for years, so they know exactly how things should run. We keep a simple logbook for our orders and try to stay on top of the schedule. Sometimes the power goes out in the estate, and we have to wait it out, drinking tea and talking about the next job. We don't spend money on fancy logos or big signs. We just focus on making sure the machines we build actually work and last a long time. It’s basic, hard work, but it’s what we’ve always done. We like the grit and the reality of the G.I.D.C. life and our regulars know where to find us.
