S M Industries

We are based at C-1 Mohan Estate, which is right across from the Anupam Cinema in Khokhra. Being near the cinema means there’s always something going on nearby, but inside the estate, we focus on our own production. S M Industries is a straightforward manufacturing setup. We produce various industrial components and parts. The workshop isn't very large, so we have to be smart about how we use the space. We have our machines lined up and a small area for inspection. It’s mostly just the sound of metal hitting metal and the hum of the motors. We don't have a bunch of suits running around. Most of us are in work clothes because we are actually on the floor most of the day. Sometimes the heat in Khokhra is a bit much, but we keep the doors open to get a breeze. We’ve been in this location for years, and most of the other business owners in the estate are our friends. We help each other out with tools or advice when something breaks. Our process is simple: we get the order, we set the machines, and we make the parts. We don't use any complicated jargon. If a piece isn't right, we fix it. It’s a basic way of doing business, but it’s worked for us so far. We just try to stay busy and keep things moving. After work, we usually grab a snack nearby.
