Mehta Textile Trading Co. is located at 570, Hazam Ki Gali. We are right across from the Zakariya Masjid. It is one of those busy, narrow lanes where there is always something going on. We have been trading textiles here for a very long time. The building is old, and it is packed with rolls of fabric and various samples. It is not a modern showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It is a traditional trading house. We spend our days talking to suppliers and customers who come through the lane. Sometimes it is hard for vehicles to get in, so we do a lot of things by hand or on small carts. The smell of different fabrics is always in the air. We know most of the other traders in the area. It is a tight-knit community here in the old part of the city. We don't have a website or do any social media stuff for the business. Our business comes from the relationships we have built over many decades. We sit on the floor or on small stools while we look at the cloth. It is a simple way of doing business that hasn't changed much over the years. We take our time to check every lot that comes in to make sure it is okay. If you are looking for us, just ask anyone near the masjid. Everyone knows where the Mehta family shop is located. We keep things simple and focus on the cloth and the customers we’ve known forever.
