Kirtilal & Company

We are located at 2892/1, Kadia Kui. It’s an old area and our building has been here for a long time. The streets around here are narrow and they can get quite crowded with people and scooters. We are Kirtilal & Company. We have been doing this for many years now. The shop is small and it’s filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. It has a specific smell, like old paper and dust, which we quite like. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood or families who have known us for a long time. We sit on stools and talk to whoever walks through the door. It’s a slow pace compared to the big offices in the new part of town. We don't use computers for everything. A lot of things are still written down in ledgers. It’s just the way we have always done it and it works for us. Kadia Kui is a place with a lot of history and we feel like we are a small part of that. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to keep the shop running and help the people who need what we have. Sometimes we just sit and watch the traffic go by for a minute when it gets quiet. It is a simple life.
