Utthan Sewa Foundation

Utthan Sewa Foundation is based out of Anand Niketan, which sits on survey number 495. We are right near the Ambli railway crossing in the Thaltej-Shilaj part of Ahmedabad. You can hear the trains passing by pretty clearly from our desks, which was distracting at first but now we barely notice it. The building is a bit older, but it serves our needs just fine. We have a basic setup inside with a few computers and a lot of storage for our records. The area around here has changed a lot lately with new buildings going up, but we are still in the same spot. It gets quite dusty because of the road work and the traffic near the crossing, so we are always dusting off the furniture. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don’t have a big sign outside, just the name Utthan Sewa Sansthan on the gate. Ahmedabad is a hot city, and our office gets a lot of sun in the afternoon, so we keep the curtains drawn to stay cool. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we usually take our breaks. It is a very simple, no-nonsense environment. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head home when the sun goes down. It is a practical place for a practical foundation.
