Civic Center - isanpur

Our office is right here in Isanpur, specifically at the Ward Office in the Ramwadi area. If you are looking for us, we are right across from Vruj Hospital and very close to the big water tank that everyone uses as a landmark. This place gets quite busy, especially in the mornings when people are trying to get their work done before it gets too hot. It is basically a place where folks come to sort out their city paperwork, like paying bills or getting certificates. We have a few counters and some chairs for people to wait in, though sometimes the line gets a bit long if it is a busy day. The fans are usually running at full speed but it can still get warm inside when there is a crowd. We just go through the files and help the people who walk in one by one. It is not a fancy office with carpets or anything like that. Just desks, computers, and a lot of paper. People from all over the neighborhood stop by, and you can hear the traffic from the road and the noise from the hospital area nearby. It is just a normal part of the local government setup here. We open up in the morning and stay until the work is finished for the day. Most of the people working here live nearby too, so it feels like a regular part of the community in this corner of Ahmedabad.
