Missionaries Of Charity

We have been operating out of Nava Wadaj for quite a long time now. Our building at 831-1 in Bhimjipura is nothing to look at from the outside, just a plain spot where we keep our supplies and meet people. It gets very busy in the mornings when everyone is starting their day. We spend a lot of time sorting through donations and talking to folks who stop by to say hello or ask for help. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, with new shops opening up and more traffic on the roads, but we stay pretty much the same. Inside, the walls are a bit bare and the furniture is old, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer phones all day. If the bell rings, whoever is closest just goes to the door. Sometimes we are short-handed, especially when it is raining hard or the heat is too much to bear. We just do the daily chores and try to keep things moving. It isn't a big organization with a lot of rules. We just see what needs doing and we do it. Most of us have lived around here for years, so we know the local families and their stories. It feels more like a community center than anything else. We don't put up big signs or advertise what we do. People just know we are here at this address.
