Civic Center - viratnagar

We are located at the Harubhai Mehta Bhavan, which sits right at the Viratnagar Char Rasta. If you know that intersection, you know how busy it gets with all the commuters and the local shops. Our office is a central point for the people living in the Viratnagar area to come and settle their city-related matters. The building is named after Harubhai Mehta, and it’s a pretty large structure that houses several different departments. We are the part where the public comes to stand in line and get their papers stamped. It can be a bit confusing if it is your first time here because there are many doors and corridors, but most people find their way to the right counter eventually. The atmosphere is very business-like, in a local government sort of way. There is no polish here, just concrete floors and wooden desks that have seen better days. We have a lot of regular visitors who come in every month to pay their bills. The staff knows some of them by name because they have been coming here for years. It is a noisy, active place where something is always happening. We don't have a mission to change the world, just a job to make sure the records are updated and the citizens get what they need. Most of us just focus on finishing the day’s tasks without any fuss.
