Islamic Relief Committee

We are over at the Karishma Complex in Vejalpur, right on the 132 Feet Ring Road. It’s a very busy area with cars and bikes zooming by all the time. The Islamic Relief Committee office is tucked inside the complex. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we manage everything. When you walk in, you’ll see desks piled with ledgers and maybe some boxes waiting to be moved. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, one of us will just look up from our work and say hello. The Ring Road makes it easy for people to reach us, but it also means it’s never really quiet. We’ve grown used to the hum of the city. Inside, we try to keep things as organized as possible, though it can get a bit messy when we are busy. We don't use big words or try to sound like a corporation. We are just local people working in our community. Sometimes we sit on the balcony of the complex for a break. You can see a lot from up here. We spend our days answering the phone, writing things down, and talking to people who need something. It’s simple, honest work. The Karishma Complex has been our home for a while now, and we are just a part of the daily life in Vejalpur. We've got our routines and we stick to them because they work for us. It isn't always easy, but it is what we do. We take it one day at a time.
