Usha Deep Hospital

You have to head up to the 3rd floor of the Mansarovar Complex to find us. We are right there at the Naranpura Cross Roads. It’s a very busy intersection, right opposite the Police Chowky and the Uco Bank. If you look up, you’ll see our sign above the Hotel Retreat and where the old Shubhiksha used to be. Being on the third floor means it’s a bit quieter than the street level, but you can still hear the honking from the cross roads. The hospital isn't huge, but we have enough space for the wards and the consultation rooms. We spend a lot of time walking up and down the hallways. The complex itself is quite old, so the stairs and elevators are used by everyone going to the different offices. Inside Usha Deep, things are kept simple. We have our routine for everything, from the morning rounds to the evening discharge. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to families. We aren't trying to be the fanciest hospital in Ahmedabad; we just provide a place for people in Naranpura to get treated. The staff knows the local spots for tea and snacks during their breaks. It is a very normal, local operation. We deal with all sorts of cases that come through the door, and we just try to handle each one as it comes without making a big fuss about it. We just keep going.
