Umalay Hospital

Our hospital is at B 90 in the Swastik Society. We are situated right opposite the Swastik Cross Road. This is a very busy intersection, so there is always something going on outside our windows. The society itself is an older part of the neighborhood, and the building reflects that. It has a lot of character, but it’s mostly just a functional space for us. We’ve set up the hospital across several rooms in the building. It’s not a massive facility, but we use the space we have as efficiently as possible. You can hear the traffic from the crossroad throughout the day, which becomes a sort of background noise we don't even notice anymore. We spend our mornings getting the charts ready and making sure everything is in order for the day. The furniture is practical and chosen for durability rather than style. People from the Swastik Society often walk over, and others come from further away because the crossroad makes it easy to find. We don't use any slick advertising. We just have our name on the building and our doors are open. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when we have a lot of visitors, but we manage. We’ve been at this location for a long time and the walls could probably tell a lot of stories. It's just a regular hospital doing regular work every day.
