Ankita Furniture

We are over here at National Highway No. 8 in Thakkarbapa Nagar. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a place where we keep all the furniture we have for sale. Being right on the highway means we get a lot of dust coming in, so we are always wiping down the tables and cupboards. It gets quite loud with the big trucks rolling past all day and night. We have been here for a good while now. It’s mostly a family thing, just a few of us moving heavy wooden beds and wardrobes around. Sometimes we don't have exactly what someone wants on the floor, so we have to go look in the back. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the weather is hot. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people just see the sign while they are driving by and pull over to take a look. We’ve got stools, chairs, and some office desks too. The space is a bit cramped because we try to fit as much as we can inside. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the regulars who stop by. It’s a simple business. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. If you come by, you'll probably find us shifting things around to make more room. We just keep at it every day and that’s how it goes for us at Ankita Furniture.
