We set up our workspace at No. 303 in the Devraj Mall, which sits right opposite the Haveli. It is a pretty well-known spot near the Thakkarbapa Nagar approach. Bapunagar is always full of energy, and the India Colony Road is constantly moving with traffic and people. Working in a mall is different from a regular factory or warehouse because we have people walking past the windows all day long. We deal with furniture systems, so our space is often filled with samples of metal table legs, chair backs, and different laminate swatches. It is not always perfectly tidy, especially when we are middle-deep in a new layout for someone. We have a few desks for the staff and a corner where we keep the heavy catalogs and fabric samples. Most of the day is spent on the phone or sketching out ideas for office setups. The lighting in the mall is quite bright, so we do not usually need many extra lamps. We usually grab lunch from one of the stalls downstairs or go near the Haveli for a quick bite if we have time. It is a convenient location for people to visit since everyone knows the mall. We try to keep things simple here at Prenix Furniture Systems. We are not into those high-pressure sales tactics; we just show people what we have and let them decide. The hum of the mall air conditioning is just the background noise of our lives.
