Shiv Shakti Steel Furniture has been here by the Gota Over Bridge for a while now. If you look for the Khodiyar Granite place, you’ll see us right nearby. It gets pretty loud here with all the metal banging and the welding going on throughout the day. We spend most of our mornings moving heavy steel sheets around and trying to get the sizes right. It’s not a fancy place, just a workshop where we get our hands dirty every day. Sometimes the dust from the granite shop next door blows over, so we’re always sweeping up. My tea guy comes around eleven, and that’s usually the highlight of the morning. We make cupboards, racks, and all sorts of steel stuff people need for their houses or shops. It’s a lot of manual work, and by the evening, our clothes are usually covered in black soot or grease. The Shreeji Lime spot is another good landmark if you’re trying to find the turn. Traffic near the bridge can be a headache, especially when the big trucks are trying to squeeze through. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders one by one. There isn't much to say about us except that we work hard and try to get things done on time. It’s just me and a couple of guys in the back. We started small and stayed that way, which suits us fine. The shop floor is always cluttered with offcuts and tools, but we know where everything is.
