Destity Furniture

We have been set up at No. 4 Devdas for quite some time now. Most people around here know us because we are situated right near the Vajanpur Police Station. It is a pretty busy spot with a lot of noise from the street, but we have grown to like the energy of the neighborhood. We spend our days mostly working with wood, cutting pieces for different chairs or trying to get a table leg just right. The back of the shop gets very dusty by the afternoon, but that is just part of making furniture. Sometimes the sirens from the police station are loud, but you get used to it after a few years. We started out quite small and we still mostly just handle whatever work comes in from the neighbors. People usually stop by when they need a cupboard fixed or a new frame for a bed. We do not have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace with us and our tools. My cousin helps out when we have a lot of orders piled up on the floor. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the wood scraps and sawdust get everywhere. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from the morning until the sun goes down. If you are looking for the shop, just look for the big blue door near the station. Usually, there is someone sawing something or moving a heavy dresser out onto the pavement.
