Our workshop is located at Plot No. 311 in the Romy Hand Process Compound, right near the Arbuda Estate. It's tucked away in Muttan Gali in Narol, so it can be a little hard to find if you aren't looking for the Nishan Nitra Service Center. We spend most of our time around metal pipes and welding torches. There’s always the sound of hammers hitting steel or the grinder going off in the background. It gets quite loud during the day, but that’s just the sound of furniture being made. We make chairs, tables, and cabinets mostly. Some days we are just painting frames and letting them dry in the corner. We don't have a showroom with fancy lights, just the floor where we build everything. It’s dusty work, and our clothes usually have a few burn holes or paint spots by the end of the week. We’ve been in this part of Narol for quite some time now, so we know the local truck drivers and the guys at the tea stall nearby. Usually, one of us is here from early morning until the sun goes down. If the gate is open, we’re working. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves and try to get things done when we say we will, though sometimes the metal delivery is late and we have to catch up. It’s a plain, honest living for us here in the compound.
