Sports For Leadership Foundation

Our small office is located at 8/3/A in the Emitee Co Op Housing Society. We’re right on the road that leads to Prabhudas Thakkar College in Paldi. It’s a busy area with a lot of students always walking by. Sports For Leadership Foundation is basically run by a few of us who think kids should be outside playing more. We don't have a gym or a stadium; we just have this office where we plan things. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. There are cricket bats in the corner and footballs under the desks. We spend our days calling schools and trying to get equipment to places that don't have any. Ahmedabad is a great city for sports, but not everyone gets a chance. We aren't a big corporate sponsor. We’re just a handful of people who like sports and want to help out. Sometimes we get frustrated because things move so slowly with the local authorities. But then we see a game happen, and it feels worth it. We’ve been in this society for several years now, and the neighbors are pretty patient with us even when we are moving gear in and out. We’re just a local group doing what we can with the little we have. It’s practical, everyday work. We aren't looking for awards. We just want to get things done and maybe see a few more kids playing.
