We are over at Silver Plaza Complex in Nava Wadaj, specifically in unit 5/G. It’s right behind the Bhimjipura area. Sonal Handloom is a small shop, and we keep it packed with all kinds of handloom fabrics, bedsheets, and curtains. If you walk in, you'll see stacks of textiles reaching almost to the ceiling in some spots. We don't have a lot of empty space because we like to keep a good variety of stuff on hand. It’s usually just a couple of us working here. We spend a lot of time unfolding things for customers to look at and then folding them back up again, which takes more time than you’d think. The plaza is a local spot, so we know a lot of the people who walk by every day. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique or anything like that. We just sell good, honest fabrics that people can use in their homes. Some days are slow and we just sit and chat, and other days we are busy from the moment we open the shutters. We’ve been in this complex for a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the way things work around here. It’s a simple business. We get new stock in, we display it as best as we can in the space we have, and we wait for people to come in and find something they like.
