Sky Line Furniture & Interior is over at 5, Samarpan Tower on the 132' Ring Road. We are near the Vruddha Ashram in Naranpura. It’s a busy location because of the ring road, so there is always a lot of movement outside. Inside the shop, it’s a bit different. We have samples of wood and different fabrics all over the place. We spend a lot of time drawing out designs on scraps of paper and talking to people about what they want for their homes. It’s not just a showroom; we actually get our hands dirty with the assembly and the finishing. There is usually a layer of sawdust on the back tables where we cut the ply. Naranpura is a good area, but the traffic can be a headache during rush hour. We’ve been in this tower for some time now and most of our neighbors know us. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make chairs, tables, and cabinets. Sometimes we go out to people's houses to measure things up and see how a wardrobe might fit. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy boards and using sanders until your arms get tired. We try to keep things organized, but when we are in the middle of a big project, it gets a bit messy. It’s just a local shop doing its thing. I think people appreciate that we are just regular folks.
