You can find us over at 501 Amazone-2, right across from Nidhi Hospital in Navrangpura. This foundation was set up in the family name, and we’ve been working out of this office for a bit now. It’s a busy part of Ahmedabad, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We handle a lot of local requests and try to help people who come through the door looking for support. It’s not a huge operation, just a couple of us sitting in the office making sure things get done. We don’t have fancy brochures or a PR team. Most of the time we’re just answering the phone or filling out forms for the various projects we’ve got running. Navrangpura is a good spot for us because people know the area well and it’s easy to get to by bus or rickshaw. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, but we’re usually here from morning until evening. We deal with all sorts of community needs, nothing too specific, just whatever seems right at the time. It’s quiet work most days. We keep our records in order and try to make sure the money goes where it’s actually needed. If you’re looking for us, look for the Swastik Society landmark, we’re right near there. It’s a plain office but it serves the purpose for what we do every day.
