We are located on the S. G. Highway, right opposite what people call the Kanaati Club. It’s one of those spots that everyone knows because of the highway traffic. Working here means you get used to the constant hum of cars and trucks outside. Inside the hospital, it’s a different world. We have different floors for different things, like surgery or just regular checkups. It’s a big operation, and it takes a lot of people to keep it all moving. We aren't much for sitting around. There is always a floor to be cleaned, a patient to be checked on, or some files to be moved. It’s honest work. The building is designed to be functional above everything else. We don’t have any fancy art on the walls, just the stuff we need to help people get well. Some days are long, especially when the emergency room is full, but that’s just the nature of the job. Most of the staff has been in the medical field for a long time. We know the routines and we know how to handle the stress. We don’t talk much about missions or anything like that; we just focus on the person standing in front of us. It’s a busy hospital on a busy road, and we’re just part of the local landscape now. It’s just how things are around here every single day and we are fine with that.
