Shaili Marketing

You can find us at 111/2 on Dhalgandhi Road, right near the Dhinkwa Chowky. Shaili Marketing has been in this old part of Ahmedabad for a long time. It’s a very traditional neighborhood with lots of narrow lanes and small shops. Our place is quite modest. We have our stock kept in the back and a small area in the front where we talk to our customers. It’s often noisy outside with the rickshaws and people walking by. We don’t have a website or a marketing department. We mostly just rely on people knowing we are here. We spend a lot of our day on the phone or writing out bills by hand. The building is old, and it has that specific smell of old paper and dust. We’ve known the families around here for generations. Sometimes we sit out on the front step for a bit of air when it’s not too hot. We don't use any fancy management techniques. We just try to be honest with people and give them what they are looking for. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We close up the shop in the evening and walk home. It’s been our way of doing things for many years now. The tea we get from the corner stall is probably the best part of the afternoon. We just keep doing what we've always done.
