Schilltek International

Out here at 37, Karnavati Industrial Estate, things move at a certain pace. We are Schilltek International, located right near the Ramol Cross Road in the Gidc Vatva area of Ahmedabad. It’s a dusty part of town, especially when the wind picks up, but it’s home for us. The workshop is where we spend most of our daylight hours. We deal with a lot of technical stuff, mostly things that require a bit of patience and a lot of grease. Our neighbors are mostly other small plants and fabrication shops, so there is always a background noise of metal hitting metal. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in our work clothes, probably busy with a machine or checking some inventory. The office part is just a small corner with a couple of old computers and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We’ve been in Ahmedabad for a long time and we know how the local industry works. It isn't about looking good on paper; it's about making sure the parts we handle are up to the task. The tea stalls nearby are where we catch up on the local news during breaks. It's a simple setup we have here. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just show up, do the work at Ramol Cross Road, and head home when the sun goes down. Most of the time we are just focused on the next order.
