Samras Dham Foundation

We are based out in Chandisar, which is part of the Palanpur taluka. Being in a village like Chandisar means that everyone knows where we are. The Samras Dham Foundation is something that grew out of a need to help the local farming families and the people living around here. We aren't some big-city foundation with a lot of rules. We just work from a simple office near the center of the village. Most of our day is spent talking to people who come in with various problems. Sometimes it is about the crops and other times it is about the local school. We do not have computers that work all the time, so we do a lot of things by hand in big ledger books. It is a slow way of working but it works for us. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or corporate. We are just local people who know the land and the people. Palanpur is quite far if you have to go there every day, so we stay here and focus on our own village. It is quiet and we like it that way. We do not have any slogans or things like that. We just wake up, open the door, and see who needs help that day. It is a practical way to live. If you are ever near the Chandisar post office, you can just ask for us. Everyone knows where we sit and what we do. It is a slow pace but it suits us.
