We have been at G-3 Shiromani for quite a while now. If you know Ambavadi, you probably know we are right across from Ocean Park. It is a busy spot near Nehrunagar Char Rasta, so there is always some noise and activity going on outside our front windows. Inside the shop, it is mostly about fabrics and different textures. We spend our days surrounded by big rolls of cloth and various furnishing samples. It often gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives, but that is just how the job goes. We handle the usual things people need for their houses. Someone might come in looking for a specific color to match an old sofa, and we spend time digging through the stacks to see if we can find it. It isn't a fancy setup, just a regular shop where we keep track of what is in stock and talk to the people who walk in. Some days it is quiet, with just the sound of the traffic from the Char Rasta, and other days we are moving heavy bundles around the floor. We have grown used to the rhythm of this part of town over the years. We open up in the morning, check on our orders, and see who stops by. There is always some dust to wipe off the shelves and books to keep organized. It is just honest work and we like being in this building. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for folks to just pop in when they are passing by the park.
