Rekha Devi Kamal Kishore Gupta Foundation

The Rekha Devi Kamal Kishore Gupta Foundation is on the second floor of Sagar Apartment. That’s Flat No 9. We are located in the City Taluka area of Ahmedabad. It’s an older building, but it’s sturdy and puts us right where we need to be in Gujarat-380009. We started this foundation to honor the family name and to do some good things around the city. It’s mostly family members and a few close friends who run the place. We don’t have a marketing team or a bunch of corporate people running around. It’s just us, sitting around the table in the apartment, figuring out who needs help and how we can get it to them. The stairs can be a bit of a challenge if the elevator is acting up, which happens more than we'd like. Inside, it’s mostly just filing cabinets and a few computers that have seen better days. We keep things pretty low-key and quiet. We aren’t looking for awards or big headlines. We just want to make sure the resources we have go to the right places. Sometimes we stay late talking about the old days or planning for the next few months. Ahmedabad is a big place, and it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle, but we try to keep our focus on the local families. If you’re in the neighborhood, you might see our small sign near the entrance. We’re just regular people trying to do something decent.
