Our shop is tucked away in Sheth Ploe, inside the Ratan Pole area. If you’ve ever walked through Ratan Pole, you know how narrow and winding the lanes are. It’s one of those old markets where you can find almost anything if you know where to look. We focus on ojar, which are basically tools. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of items. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. Most of our day is spent helping people find the specific tool they need for a job. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and it’s usually very hot, but that’s the charm of working in a Pole. We don’t have a website or any big advertisements. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just stumbling upon us while they’re exploring the market. The building is old, like most of the structures around here, and has a lot of character. We start early in the morning when the market is just waking up and stay until the shutters go down in the evening. There’s a certain way of doing things here that hasn't changed much in decades. We just keep our stock organized as best as we can and talk to the regulars who have been buying from us for years. It’s simple, honest work in the heart of the city.
