Om Namkeen

We are based at Plot No. 144 in the Mahagujarat Industrial Estate. If you’re looking for us, we’re right near the Sarvottam Hotel in Changodar. This is where we make all our namkeen snacks. The kitchen area is the heart of the place, and it stays very hot because of the large fryers we use. There’s always the smell of spices and hot oil in the air. It’s a busy operation with people constantly moving around—some frying, some seasoning, and others packing the snacks into bags. The floor can get a bit oily, so we have to be careful where we walk. It’s not a showroom; it’s a production unit. We have stacks of cartons piled up against the walls waiting to be shipped out. The noise from the packaging machines is constant throughout the day. Changodar is a hub for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the other factories. We don’t have a fancy storefront. Most people who come here are delivery drivers or suppliers. We start work early to beat the worst of the heat, but it’s still a long day by the time we finish. We’ve been at Plot 144 for a few years, and we’ve gotten our process down to a routine. It’s a no-nonsense place where we just focus on making snacks every day without any fuss.
