M A Rassiwala

We are located at Sabari Manzil in the Teen Darwaja area. Our shop numbers are 1801 and 1802. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s one of the oldest and busiest spots in town. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building itself has seen a lot of years go by. We mainly deal with ropes and related items—that’s why the name is M A Rassiwala. It’s a very specific kind of business, but everyone needs a good rope at some point, whether it’s for work or just for things around the house. We have all sorts of thicknesses and materials. The shop is often filled with the smell of jute and nylon. It’s a bit crowded inside because ropes take up a lot of space when they are in big coils. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the inventory. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to park nearby because the streets are so narrow and full of rickshaws, but people still manage to get to us. We don't do anything corporate or polished. We just stand behind the counter, wait for customers, and help them find what they need. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We like the atmosphere of Teen Darwaja, even with all the noise and the crowds every single day. We keep the shop open and just keep working.
