Lok Sampark Foundation

Our office is up on the 7th floor of Joyosh Hubtown, specifically in the A wing. It’s right there at Geeta Mandir in Ahmedabad. Being near the S.T. bus stand means the whole area is always moving. You see people from all over the state coming and going. From the 7th floor, we get a pretty good look at all that activity, though we’re high enough up that the honking is a bit muffled. The office for Lok Sampark Foundation is at number 720. It’s a standard office space, nothing too fancy or over the top. We have our desks lined up and a small area where we keep our files and records. The air conditioning is a lifesaver during those Ahmedabad summers, otherwise, we’d never get anything done. It’s a busy building with lots of other businesses, so the elevators are almost always full. We’ve gotten to know some of the other people working on our floor. We don't really do the whole corporate culture thing here. We just come in, do our jobs, and head home. There’s always someone making a round of tea or coffee in the morning to get us started. It’s a functional space that works well for our needs. We don't have much in the way of wall art, just a few calendars and some notes pinned up. It’s just a place where we get through our daily tasks and then head back out into the city.
