Leofan Trading Co. is right on Gandhi Road at Dhinkwa Chokwy Dhal. It is a very busy part of town. The shop stays open pretty much all day. We have stacks of stuff everywhere because it’s a trading business. You have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a crate. We get a lot of people walking in just to ask directions or check prices. It’s a bit cramped inside but we make it work. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but nobody has the time to move everything out of the way. We mostly deal with local orders and shipping things out to other districts. Gandhi Road is always full of cars and people shouting. It makes for an interesting day. We usually keep the front door open to get some air. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the summer months. There is a small desk in the back where the paperwork gets done. It’s mostly manual work, moving boxes and checking lists. We don't use any fancy systems. Just pen and paper and a basic computer for the accounts. It is an honest living. We have been in this spot for years. Most people in the neighborhood know us by name. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out on time. There is a chai stall nearby where we go when we need a quick break from the heat and noise.
