Kusum Enterprise

You'll find us down in the basement of the Hiral Shopping Centre. We are at unit number 9. Being in a basement in Ramnagar means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is nice during the summer months in Sabarmati. We’ve been running Kusum Enterprise from this spot for quite some time. It’s not a huge space, so we have to be smart about how we stack our goods. We handle a variety of items, mostly general enterprise stuff that local people need. The shopping centre is a familiar landmark around here. People come down the stairs and we’re right there. Sometimes it gets a bit quiet, and other times it’s a rush of people all at once. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us managing the day-to-day. We keep our own books and handle the cleaning ourselves too. It’s a modest setup. We don't use any fancy sales talk. If we have what you want, we tell you the price and that’s that. We like the community in Ramnagar; it’s a friendly place. Most of our customers are neighbors or people who have been coming to Hiral for years. It’s a simple way to run a business. We open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who the day brings. No big plans, just staying consistent and keeping the shop going. It’s been our life for years and we're used to the basement vibes now.
